Chicago International Poster Biennial

The second Chicago International Poster Biennial invites submissions for its 2010 exhibition and student competition. All entries must be designed and printed between 1 January 2008 - 1 May 2010. Posters which have already been entered in a CIPBA competition may not be re-entered. Entrants may submit up to six works for each artist / designer. Series of no more than three posters that constitute a single work will be accepted as a single entry. Poster works deemed worthy by the international jury will become finalists, and will be exhibited in the public Biennial exhibition in late summer, 2010 in Chicago and will be part of the 2010 CIPB Catalog. One gold medal and two silver medals of excellence will be awarded. The Society of Typographic Arts (STA) Medal will be awarded to one poster for typographic excellence. The Project Osmosis Medal will be awarded to one poster exhibiting excellence in a social theme. In 2010, the CIPBA will hold its first student poster competition, based on a given theme. Students have two months to design and submit their posters on the theme of "Transportation: Crucial Issues". To enter, you must be a current student of graphic design or related art discipline, anywhere in the world. Only one entry per student will be accepted.
